Conference 2018

On 28−30 June 2018, the project hosted its second international conference, Lasting Impressions: Music and Material Cultures of Print in Early Modern Europe, held at the University of Salzburg. The geographical and chronological scope of the conference were enlarged beyond the bounds of our project, and we engaged in much fruitful discussion of the materialities of music printing as a broader cultural phenomenon. Kate van Orden (Harvard) gave the keynote lecture.
