Further information on dating: The annotation on fol. C6v of the copy in D-LEu (“Dono dedit quidam baccalaureus [?] tunc temporis migrandus .Mdvij”) suggests that the present edition is not later than 1507. The fact that it is shorter than vdm16 540 suggests that it probably predates it.

 This edition is shorter than the edition of Cochlaeus’ “Musica” which was produced by the same printer in 1507 (vdm 540). The present edition uses the same type and woodcuts as vdm 540, but vdm 540 has been reset.
