This edition contains many woodcuts of instruments very similar to those in Musica getutscht, but which are newly cut. The (b) edition (vdm 1312) is a variant edition of vdm 211, which has a different colophon and different text layout on all pages of the last gathering. It is unclear which of those copies which have not yet been inspected belong to edition (a) or edition (b).
